About this guide

This guide was created by Ingrid Abreu Scherer and Margherita Musella at the What Works Centre for Wellbeing in 2021. It was developed with support from voluntary sector organisations and partners to be a practical introduction to designing wellbeing evaluations, and to bring together up-to-date advice and guidance on wellbeing measures and data. It continues to be updated to respond to the needs of its users.
The What Works Centre for Wellbeing operated from 2014 to 2024. This website has been hosted by the VCSE Data and Insights National Observatory at at Nottingham Trent University since 2024.
